Children and young people

Caring for children and young people in their own home is always preferable.

We support children and younger people, from the age of 4 years and over, to live safely and comfortably in the home they know and love.

We provide attentive day-to-day care, encouraging continuity, independence and establishing daily routines.

Live-in Care

Ongoing daily and night time support in your home. This kind of support benefits the whole family. The support worker can observe how the family works together as a unit and offer ways of coping and useful routines. The worker can also support with tasks and step in at night time to ensure the main carer has a good night’s sleep. If a parent has to go into hospital for a time one of our care assistants can live-in your home on a short-term basis.

Day Services

Designed to provide regular, tailored visits throughout the day. This kind of support is ideal for those needing little and often. Day services are particularly useful for encouraging older children to lead independent lives, including supporting activities outside the home, such as shopping and cinema trips or visits to meet friends, and teaching home-based life skills such as cooking and cleaning.

E

Personal Care

Our carers can support your child or young person in maintaining their personal appearance and hygiene, including toileting, dressing and grooming support. This is especially useful for developing a routine in children or young people with behavioural problems.
